Help Mercy Soup Kitchen of Wyandanch Rebuild Our Kitchen and Keep Our Neighbors Fed

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

On Sunday, October 18, a fire broke out at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, our home for more than 40 years. It damaged our kitchen and the church offices. No one was hurt.

We are deeply grateful to the firefighters of the Wyandanch Fire Department, who answered the call quickly and worked hard to protect the church we call home. Thank you for showing up for our community, just as you always do.

Our kitchen is closed while professionals assess the damage and plan repairs. But about 150 neighbors count on us every weekday. Until we reopen, our volunteers are handing out sandwiches so no one goes without.

Your gift will help rebuild our kitchen and restock our supplies so hot lunch can return to Wyandanch. No amount is too small. Whether you can give $5, $50, or $500, every gift brings our neighbors closer to a hot meal at our tables again.
